- IS THERE A MONTHLY FEE TO USE THE SYSTEM?
No. This system calls 911 or Campus Security, not an alarm monitoring service. Once you purchase The Campus 911 system there is no other required cost to use it.
- CAN I PURCHASE AN ADDITIONAL ACTIVATOR WITHOUT BUYING A WHOLE SYSTEM?
Yes. Both types of activators (pendant or wristband) are available for purchase. See the order page of the website for more details or call 1-888-4-911NOW.
- DO I HAVE TO HAVE A SEPARATE TELEPHONE NUMBER OR SPECIAL TELEPHONE JACK TO USE THE SYSTEM?
No. The system works off of a standard telephone jack. And it can use an existing telephone line.
- DOES MY ACTIVATOR JUST WORK WITH THE SYSTEM I PURCHASED?
No. ANY of The Campus 911 activators will activate ANY of the Emergency Notification units. So if you are a Professor who teaches in more then one classroom, your activator will work in all the classrooms you go to.
- HOW BIG IS THE SYSTEM AND IS IT HEAVY?
The Emergency Notification unit is approximately 7” by 9” or the same size as many portable DVD Players. The pendant is approximately the size of a key fob used to unlock many cars. All together, the system weighs less than 1.5 pounds.
